Durante tres días, funcionarios de vida silvestre de Maryland rastrearon a un cachorro de oso negro para inyectarle tranquilizante y quitarle una cubeta que tenía atorada en la cabeza.
El osezno de 45 kilos fue liberado cerca del centro turístico Wisp Resort en McHenry durante un festival anual de otoño, reportó el periódico Cumberland New-Times el domingo.
Un grupo de observadores en el centro turístico estaba cautivado de ver cómo el osezno regresaba a los bosques cercanos sin la cubeta, informó el Servicio de Patrimonio y Vida Silvestre de Maryland.
En sus redes sociales, también difundió un video de los hechos.
Bear cub with plastic jar on its headPaul Morris was able to capture this video on Friday evening of the bear cub with the plastic jar stuck on his head. Wildlife response from the Maryland Departmnet of Natural Resources - Wildlife and Heritage Service were able to successfully tranquilize the cub on Saturday evening and remove the jar. The cub was reunited with the sow and another cub. Thanks to everyone involved for a job well done.
